David Sanborn

Hideaway

Run for cover

Completely rearranged- Get it down you!

David Sanborn/Quincy Jones- One hundred ways

It's a rough join, but the two go well together.
Sanborn plays note for note what Quincy sings, yet his sound makes his performance unique.

Suspone mix

This is a join of a saxophone performance of Suspone done for
Scottish T.V., that was incomplete, with the album version.

Al Jarreau

Blue Bossa

You ain't heard nothin' like this!
With Chick Corea.

Could you believe

Simply beautiful. Vocal and electric piano.

Since I fell for you

A proper gem.

Possibly the only recording of this amazing performance from Al Jarreau and David Sanborn.

The original tape was badly stretched and the tune got slower and slower as it played.

Here it is, restored by me.

Teach me tonight

The masquerade is over

Bach

Toccata and fuge in D minor

The best performance ever!
I don't know who played it,
but I think that this is exactly how
Bach wanted it to sound.

Grover Washington Jr. (Sax)

Just the two of us

Steve Gadd on drums!

Grover Washington jr. plays MK 6 alto!

The Selmer MK6 is the best-sounding sax ever produced. Grover normally played Couf, which has a soft, mellow tone (perfect for him). The MK6 is edgier with a coarser tone. Fantastic. From "Standing room only"

Louis Johnson (Bass)
